HOW DO YOU 'ACTUALLY' BREAK ON ROLLERSKATES

SCREEN-PRINTED SELF-PORTRAIT

During the summer break, I drove down a steep hill on roller skates without considering not knowing how to break. A big wound on my leg reminds me of this. I’ve come to realize, that the way I picture myself relies heavily of the things I do. My physical actions and my interests. I try my best to reduce the distance between thought and action. My self- portrait consists of a collection if my belongings, that with a noticeable amount of wear attests of diligent usage. While the belongings have been used, they have each built up inherent value of affection. I believe that it is something somewhat beautiful to like your belongings. Instead of considering it as an act of materialism, I choose to see it as a sustainable measure. It must be the right thing to use your things until they break and take good care of them along the way, because you like them.
